Only Charging to 97%

Ever since the 7.5 update the unit does not charge to 100% regardless of how long its plugged in.  The most it shows while charging is 99% and as soon as I unplug it goes to 97%.  This never happened before the 7.5 update.

Can we expect this to be fixed in the next firmware update?

    Yep, similar for me - relatively new to the 1030 and thought most of issues had been worked out - that why I waited so long to get one

    All sorts of weird battery readings when I updated to 7.50.

    As soon as I took off charge battery would count down a few percent within seconds

    Went back to firmware 7.40 and ok.

    A simple request to Garmin:

    - I would like my Edge 1030 to accurately report battery level, and not get stuck on 100% or randomly drop!

    Every other electronic device I own seems to manage it.  Beginning to wonder if there is a hardware constraint stopping the device accurately reading its battery??

    It drops within seconds.

    On one occasion it kept counting down to 63% within a couple of minutes.

    Switched off and back on and it jumped back up again!!!

    It only started in firmware 7.50

    Could the battery be damaged when charging using firmware 7.5?

    Yes, mine only charges to 98% no matter how long it's plugged in.

    'm on my 4th Edge 1030 after 2 blue halo screen failures and elevation issues whereby devise was "stuck" at 65,000ft !!!!  Battery on my latest 1030 only charges to 97%

    Im kind of thinking that this is an accurate report of your actual battery life.  Mine started at immediately going to 97% when it came off the charger....  Now its only going to 96%.  I think ive lost another 1% of actual battery availability and this is barely a month old.

    seems it is a general problem and we have to wait for our new FW release, hopefully coming soon, latest after the end of Tour de france because the pro's tested our new Firmware during the 3 week of races in extrem situations Stuck out tongue closed eyes
