HR % of Max not showing a number, just _ _ %

Hey all, I recently upgraded from the Edge 1000 to the Edge 1030. Thursday night 5/2/19 was my first ride with the 1030 and all was good. Tonight 5/3/19 I went to ride and the HR % Max number was not being displayed. The field was there, just no number. HR BPM was there, and time in the different zones was there, just no calculated number for HR as a percent of one's max.

I have this on my primary data screen regardless of which bicycle I'm on. This problem is now across the board with all of my Activity Profiles I select... Road, Gravel or Mountain. My year of birth is still correct and it worked fine last night, so given that I made zero changes, I don't understand why it's not working now.

    Are you sure that HR Max is set on your device?

    Did you get your Edge 1030 sorted out?

    My Edge 1030 has just started doing the same, It shows the HR in BPM and calculates Average BPM but not % of Max

  • Mine is doing the same thing. My max is in there and it's set to percent of max, but it never gives me time in zones. This happened in the past month. 

  • I spent some time trying things last night. I haven't used the unit since but at least the numbers are in there. (really wish it gave an option to update past workouts)

    I updated the 1030 synced to Connect on my phone, and once I did that, the % numbers were correct in Connect. But not on the 1030.

    After going back and forth between the phone and the 1030, changing settings, re-inputting my max HR, syncing etc what finally worked was to change my max HR by just one beat IN THE APP and re-sync, and finally all the percentage numbers were matched between the phone and 1030.

    I also have to say it's the FIRST time I've been able to change my max HR in the phone app. I did NOT update the app.

    This is the most finicky device I've ever bought!

    Thanks, I solved the problem by reseting my Max HR
