I have a question pertaining to the memory card you can insert into the back of the 1030, so in the edge 1030 garmin manual it says it supports memory cards up to 2TB but they have to be formatted to FAT32 I do not know how to do that and would like to increase my devices memory what is the max size card the unit will accept without having to be formatted to FAT32?

    this post is for mcinner1
I hate to ask you this but I need to know an exact order how to do this ie step 1 step 2 step 3 etc... I know thats alot to ask of you but i made it work one time and since that first time I have been unable to get all my point into garmin connect. Thanks
  • I‘m not sure, what you want me to explain...
What do you mean by „I have been unable to get all my point into garmin connect“?
Sounds as if you have problems to upload your rides (activities) to Garmin Connect...

Ok so I am able to view all my data points in the garmin base camp that you told me to try, but the part I dont understand is how to get the data from base camp back into garmin connect.

You hit the nail on the head when you said Sounds as if you have problems to upload your rides(activities) to garmin connect

Thats exactly my issue I have figured out how to view the data with Base Camp but I am unable to get it back into garmin connect with all the data points as I see I have with Base Camp

Connect already has all the data points. It just doesn't provide a way of displaying them.

You have to use another program to see all the points.

Oh ok that makes sense finally an answer thank you dpawlyk, could you also recommend a program to do that?

As I said earlier, check out Golden Cheetah. Basecamp was another recommendation (but it might be Overkill for what you need).

Golden cheetah works perfectly thanks for the recommendation,Base Camp didn't want to work on my computer for some reason had to keep installing it ever time I opened it so needless to say I didn't go with it. But I think it could be tweaked a little bit and would be fine. Or maybe I didn't do something in the right order to facilitate it to work. Who knows

    Thanks again!
