Anyone using Edge Remote with the 1030?

Just came across the Edge Remote while searching for something else and wondered if it works with the 1030?

I use it all the time. It used to be buggy but they finally fixed it about 6 months ago. It now works reliable. And it is a very useful accessory. Works in the rain, works with gloves, customizable buttons…

I know, it is super useful. That's why I am getting frustrated by the connectivity issues.

I have no idea for Android.

Normally I use iPhone and iOS.
For testing purposes I‘ve borrowed an Android phone - NOKIA 5.
Same problems with remote if/when the phone is connected!

Now, that Whatsapp is available with notifications (v6.43 beta) I regret that I have to make the decision:
-do I use the ability to get notifications - the remote will not work
-do I use the remote - the phone shall not be connected: no notifications
It‘s a pity...

Anyone still having this problem? My Remote/1030 connection started being troublesome when I changed from iPhone 7 to iPhone 11 Pro. Might be a coincidence, but that's the only piece of my setup that changed. Same symptoms as others have described: It works fine for some time before the Remote starts giving red flashes when I hit the buttons. Reconnecting fixes the issue for a short time before it occurs again... Is Garmin still interested in that problem or can I flush the Remote down the toilet?

Our remotes been stable/working lately with Hueway P9 (FWb9.44) and P20 (FWb9.24).
