Swim 2 is almost 4 years old now.
Is it expected Garmin Swim 3 to be released soon ?
Is there any info about that?
We wait for such device with new hardware and improved accuracy and functionality.

To be honest I love Swim 2 and it is great device, one of the best for swimming.
But there are many things to be fixed/improved and some new functionalities related to swimming to be added.
But the main…
New rumours??
This got me all remorseful initially because I just ordered a 265 to replace my Swim 2, but even considering that this is wild speculation, the differences aren't all that much.
Most is basic latest…
You know the speed or pace settings for the endless pool. Do the math, you can easily measure the time.
distance=speedXtime=(time/pace)X100
If I'm not mistaken.
Also open water function with GPS turned off gives a rough estimation I think.
Yes, the formula is correct:
Distance = Speed × Time
Ensure Units are Consistent:
Convert the speed into kilometers per minute (km/min) or meters per second (m/s) depending on your preferred unit for distance.
Convert the swimming time into hours, minutes, or seconds, corresponding to the speed unit.
For Example:
Given:
Endless pool current Speed: 3 km/h
Swimming Time: 30 minutes
Steps:
Convert time to hours:
30 minutes = 0.5hours (30/60)
Apply the formula:
Distance = 3km/h × 0.5 hours = 1.5km
General Conversion Factors:
1 hour = 60 minutes
1 km/h = 1000 m / 3600 s = 0.2778 m/s
Ehhh this Math :)))))
garmin swim 2 is 4 years old and there is no rumors about a garmin swim 3, so, which is now the best sportwatch (garmin or other) only for swimming purpose?
I think garmin swim 2 is outdated in terms of accuracy of the heart sensor, swimming features... or for swimming is it still the most accurate and complete?
Thanks
garmin swim 2 is 4 years old
5 years old, actually.

Garmin swim2 is not able, but is any other garmin able to get vo2max during swimming?
Check this https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/75e76409-a53b-4a78-a91f-4170dc396558
I haven't tested it but I am sceptical about accuracy of measuring VO2max in the water using a watch ...
Go running (with GPS) or cycling to measure it more accurately.
