All voice prompts stopped working on 970

This happens to me too, sometimes I used to solve it by going to controls and disconnect the phone and reconnect it but lately it does not work it works only by restarting my phone and if this does not work then I go into Garmin connect app and click on the 970 icon (top right corner) and re-sync.
This is very frustrating during a jog/run activity. Garmin should concentrate on fixing bugs (which are a lot already) on this device before any attempt to introduce new features, which adds new bugs with the existing  . For me this was a very expensive purchase!
 

Agreed. They should spend some cycles just fixing what's already there.

Also same here... this was a very expensive purchase for me as well. And given the price, I was expecting things to be quite a bit better tested and polished. The past few months with this watch have been very disappointing to say the least.

Voice prompts are just a hot mess on my 970 also - 12.72. I did a half-marathon this past weekend. The voice prompts for HR range was set and started working but then stopped for no apparent reason about 5 miles in to the race. I have basically given up on this feature as its just not reliable. The feature was more reliable on my older Forerunner.

well a month has passed and not fixed.     I really dont understand why they dont fix it,  i have fenix 8 and a 970  that is a primary function we need   $1800+ of paper weights  WE need  HR every 1 min while in a focus activity ,

Well it's been almost a month without audio prompts working correctly. I can't train like this! I've come to heavily rely on the voice prompts, as it is highly inconvenient and distracting to be looking down at my watch every couple minutes. Since my original post it only got slightly better. Now I get very random audio prompts, could be a power notification, could be a lap time, or could be nothing at all. If I happen to have my phone screen on, looking at a different app, the Garmin Connect app now steals focus to tell me there is an audio prompt in progress. The only way I've been able to get around most of this is to connect my buds up directly to the watch. But even that isn't without issues, as listening to Spotify directly from the watch while I'm training tends to frequently cut out and in, and/or give me a "media output" error. But it does give me my audio notifications that way, although the timed ones set up in the Focus Modes still aren't working at all. What a mess!

Over and over on the forums, Garmin-Laurie says, "Our engineers are investigating a potential concern that may prevent Timed Voice Alerts from sounding. They are investigating this concern." 

The comment  "Potential"  sure sounds like an attempt to downplay these critical issues to me, but i could be wrong.  

I  FEEL,  "Potential" in the real world means "anyone who used this functionality" and it is potential because not everyone uses it.    When it is stated that way, to me it sounds like  this is not a wide spread issues, vs  EVERY SINGLE PERSON using prompts post version update have issues.   Im having issues on my 970 and Fenix 8  No timed voice prompts

What was the Last Full Release of Firmware before 12.72 where  Voice / Audio Prompts worked   ( Focus Activities, hr, timed, voice prompt)
