Call Garmin support and ask. I have had a number of replaced units through the years and they have managed by Garmin internal processes without reorder by me.
Not sure about the glue bit, but if you believe this requires a replacement, you don't have to do a return/rebuy (gotta wait for the refund, or be out 2x the watch cost for a period of time while refund processes), you can talk to garmin about a warranty replacement - no cost, no need to re-order, they send you a shipping label, you send back your watch, they send out a replacement as soon as they receive yours (so a few days without watch while waiting on shipping)
