Forerunner 970 quality support

Finally got the watch shipped to me yesterday and noticed there's glue residue. Is the only option to submit return request and reorder?

  • Call Garmin support and ask. I have had a number of replaced units through the years and they have managed by Garmin internal processes without reorder by me. 

  • Not sure about the glue bit, but if you believe this requires a replacement, you don't have to do a return/rebuy (gotta wait for the refund, or be out 2x the watch cost for a period of time while refund processes), you can talk to garmin about a warranty replacement - no cost, no need to re-order, they send you a shipping label, you send back your watch, they send out a replacement as soon as they receive yours (so a few days without watch while waiting on shipping)
