What does everyone think?
I don't usually customize the watch that much with custom watch faces and apps.
thanks

It is not. I also don’t use custom watch faces and apps and didn’t have any issues for the past month. I thought I was lucky, but started seeing battery issues a few days ago and the watch finally…
I am 100% satisfied. Stock watch face, touch disabled (I am kind of old fashioned), pulse and sleep tracking enabled. 3 gps enabled exercises per week with HRM pro paired. Works like a charm. Nothing to…
No problems with mine, custom watch face
Accept the phone assistant and voice control.
tell me the feature which would crash and i will test it.
honestly except the phone assistant and voice control and occasional lags (not freeze) i haven’t seen any issues.
I bought it on release. Have it about a month.
I’ve been abroad the last fortnight and have been let down by it regularly.
when I return on Monday I will kick off the RMA process and go back to my 955solar. It still has issues but is useable.
just because your usage is limited does not mean others is.
100% ok for me.
Custom watch face. Daily exercise. Indoor/outdoor cycling w/pwr and HRM pro. Running w/optical HR. Gym use. GPS is spot on. Sleep tracking is good. Always On Display off. Touch screen on (last update did reduce ghost touches). Daily use of Garmin Pay. The flashlight !!!
Mine is going back too. Currently I’m spending more time and effort trying to convince myself it’s worth keeping the 970, getting fixated on FW versions, battery life, it crashing and the actual running? Taken a bit of a backseat while this has been going on!
So I’ve a 965 and a 970 in front of me, the 965 has never had an issue in over two years, the 970 had 3 crashes this week alone. The 965 with 100% battery predicts battery life of 7 days, the 970 for the same 100% predicts 5 days. That’s enough of a difference for me to notice.
The bottom line is I’ve spent more time troubleshooting it this week than I have running, so it’s going back.
I do love the GUI of the 970 and will revisit again it in a few months, buying a new one at the time, once I’ve got a few upcoming running events done.
Maybe I just got a dud one, maybe a new one in September might resolve the issues I’ve had, but right now I need to focus on training not trouble shooting!
Happy miles all, whatever watch you got!
I dont have version 6.18 available. How it so, when Garmin says it was released to 100% users?
