Is the 970 with 6.18 stable enough to purchase?

Voice assistant works about 75% of the time. The rest of the time the watch reboots during a call. No popping nice or volume issues on mine. 

Agreed. Using navigation in a foreign city today on a run. Crashed and locked up. Great fun. 

would love to see a list of known issues at this stage.

My 965 has never crashed in over 2 years, I've only been using my 970 this week and it's crashed twice. The first one, panning a map during a walk activity.

So I updated to 6.18 but today, with nothing happening on the watch other than a simple timer, the screen went off completely, even though AOD is on, totally blank screen, but when I tried to wake the screen nothing. I could feel vibrations, but see nothing. So went to take the watch off, then the screen came back on! With the timer still running. 

I've recorded about 4 runs and 3 walks with no issues, but right now really can't trust it.

I'm seriously considering returning it and revisiting it in a few months once I've a few upcoming events out the way.

I'd suggest purchase one from somewhere with a good returns policy and see if it works for you. Mine might be a early one, later ones may have fixed some possible hardware issues, who knows. You really only know when you use it for what you need.

Pity really, as I love the updated GUI over the 965, but I'm simply loosing trust in it's reliability! I was willing it to be reliable, but right now, it's going the other way.

That’s good to hear, if you don’t mind me asking, when did you purchase it? 

I purchased mine on 25-May, 10 days after release, so I’m assuming mine is one of the first batch.

I’m curious if most issues were with the first batch and have since been fixed in manufacturing.

its qUte a costly (and risky!) exercise to buy one again now and see if it’s any better! Then return the earlier one!

Honestly what kind of question is that?? Do you think he paid $750 and put it in a drawer? Many people are using the watch daily with no major issues.

Yes. 

Some people do not use anything but the basic features. And then are amazed at all these other issues 

Or people are inattentive to the issues.
