Did the hard reboot to escape blue triangle of death, but now won't connect to computer or phone.

You need to remove your watch from both Garmin Connect and Bluetooth connections on your phone and re-pair it.  Just be warned that as soon as you sync it again, the next time you try and do a GPS activity it will go back into the death loop.

Thank you!  I had removed it from GC, but forgot about the phone's prior BT connection. Paired right up after I removed that one.  I really should have known better.  that's why I come here.  

Done the button thing , restarted but if do a soft reset get blue death again. 

And each time a full reset up of the watch.

I remember us all planning for year 2000 issues , surely getting basics right in this satellite file is something that should be tested!
