Garmin Express sync on Mac broken

Hi, I recently wanted to update and sync my wife's 265 and got sync errors. She has a MacBook Pro with latest Apple OS. I did not find a solution and gave up after I tried reinstalling and other watches like my 965.

No i was trying to sync my 965 with my MacBook Air 15" M1 and what to say, the same happens here.

So I tried my Edge 1040 and surprise surprise, it worked!

So I tried my 965 again and it did not.

I also changed the cable!

The same here. FW 20.31, GE 7.23 and macos 14.7 (23H124) on Intel.

deleting the Unit ID folder doesn't help. the problem started the FW before this i think.

reinstalling did not help either way…

I can sync but continually gets the error and has to do a work around each time.

Deleting the file as per the instruction just results in another error after that.

Removing and reinstalling the device it does it again after one sync.

Is there any official fix Garmin? These steps still not solve the issue and still present on the latest 15.0.1 MacOS. These are quality devices so we expect working software on latest MacOS systems. Thanks for helping. Whats next as I cannot sync mp3 music ot update to latest maps?

Same problem here, for a long time. MacMini M2 Sonoma 14.7 together with FR965.
Uninstalled & reinstalled Garmin Express / restarted clock etc.

PS: German version, maybe a connection?

I had issues syncing (getting an error message), and I tried deleting and re-downloading the Garmin Express app to no avail. Then tonight I tried what you suggested. I removed my Forerunner 965 from the device list on Express, then closed the app, re-opened the app and then added back the 965. Now it's Working!!! Thank You kindly for sharing, timashelford.

I tried all of those methods and I still have issue to open configure Spotify from Garmin Express.

Same issue after fully reinstalled and even removed the temporary Garmin files. Continuously loosing connect.

I have problems in Garmin Express since last week (well not counting those that I have since day one that is...). It displayed some error message about some files that it can't sync but didn't even tell me which file, just a date.

Yesterday I reported some bug about the morning report and the agent told me to update my watch via Garmin Express (usually I use only Garmin Connect) because there are 3 updates.

Even though when I sync from Garmin Connect everything updates, sync without any problem, when I search for updates via wifi from the watch it tells me there's no update, when I try in Garmin express it tells me there are 3 updates: Golf Clubs, Personal Records, Change Log but all 3 fail to be synced/installed. (the error from last week is gone now)

I told this to the agent, after which he replied that he no longer sees that I have 3 pending updates (which GE still tells me)
