Structured swim workouts broken

Since a recent update, doing a structured TrainingPeaks swim workout on my 965 is absolute chaos. The set is called "recovery" while it's a working set, it says kick while there is no stroke prescribed, the prescribed pace is completely off, all sets come up twice, ...

I noticed it the first time a couple of days ago in the pool, it completely messed up my workout. now I'm trying everything I can at home and can't seem to figure it out. might have to go with writing the workout down and doing a normal swim workout.

to illustrate, this is the workout from trainingpeaks, and then some screenshots of the watch. I think I've tried everything (updates, restarts, resets, ... but nothing seems to work)

.

  • 1. It happens only when the workout is created in training peaks and viewed / executed on the watch.  Workouts created in Connect are fine.

    2. Yes, but I don't think this would show the problem.

  • For me it also doesn't work when I create it via connect.garmin.com on the web interface (Shows Kick on Forerunner 965), when I create the workout in the Android Garmin Connect app it's working (no Kick on Forerunner 965<).

I think there also is something majorly wrong with creating swimming workouts in the web interface,

it doesn't let me enter time based durations properly, the component reacts very oddly and unpredictably, and once I enter a time (which is not the time I really want, it might show some other time off by 1 second).

  • I am seeing a similar problem on my Forerunner 255. My workouts are loaded from TrainingPeak. It says "Kick" for most sets.

  • Yes this is still happening. I just got the watch and I am struggling to figure out how to do the workouts!
