Wild beeping and number after structured workout?

anyone seen this before? When structured workouts end and you run further (or in this example overall) my FR freaks out and keeps beeping loud and a weird number is shown

a restart helped but today after my next structured workouts it happened again

It's a bug with alerts (in this case, distance alerts). It's been happening to a few people and Garmin is aware of it. See this thread (for example): forums.garmin.com/.../1852193

The workaround is to add a distance alert in the activity settings, then remove it.
