I have f965, I updated it to the new version 18.27. I turned off Pulse Ox and turned off allway display. I fully charged the battery last night and this morning it was at 58%. Does anyone have the same error?

I had a similar issue, and it was weird. I had changed an option on the watch, set the default setting for GPS to "auto select" I mean it was already set to that in the running options, but I decided to…
I have this same issue with my FR955
I havent changed a single setting and since the last update I’ve gone from charging once a week to losing at least 30% daily. Same usage pattern and settings…
Not ideal - so how do we go about solving or dealing with this battery drain issue? It's 100% not something that I've tweaked or changed, as my watch has remained unchanged for months now in terms of settings…
Yeah I'm not wasting my time factory resetting it and losing all my settings when I know it's a cop-out from Garmin to suggest something like that as a fix. There's clearly a bug in the latest firmware update and it needs to be fixed. Time for someone to fess up and fix it.
Any idea how we go about reporting the issue so that it gets looked at? After the absolutely dismal app-refresh, and now the 18.27 update cutting my battery life to a fraction of what it was before, I'm very quickly going to be looking elsewhere for an alternative product if things don't improve.
Factory reset is a cop-out excuse and it's not a real solution. We need a proper fix from Garmin asap.
This is very interesting - I noticed a similar problem after changing GPS setting a few months ago (on my FR955 watch).
As an experiment I tried changing the setting again this morning and was able to reproduce the problem! Battery started draining a few % per hour. I have seen a similar battery drain issues after a workout but it's not consistent or easily reproducible.
I was having a TERRIBLE battery drain issue after updating to 18.27 and on top of that the watch, with ever increasing frequency, kept prompting me to repeat the update. I contacted CS chat (super easy) and they provided this fix, which seems to have worked:
"The next steps to try will be to plug the watch into your computer. Open your watch in file explorer. If you are on mac follow these steps to access the garmin folder: Accessing the Garmin Folder of a Garmin Device on a Mac Computer and follow the steps for "Devices with on-board music."Once you have that open lcoate the "remotesw" and "newfiles" folders and delete those. After it is deleted then sync again though garmin express and it will repopulate those folders on the watch. "
I hope this helps!
18 hours later it seems to have worked for me. Can't tell you if it works for anyone else.
I guess I got lucky with my CS chat. I don't know if it's the same process for FR265, but I'm under the impression there's a different method for accessing the file system on Windows. Maybe it's built into the OS unlike Mac? For some reason I thought I remembered seeing a page about how to do that but I can't seem to access it now.
If I had a FR265 and had the same issue after updating though...I'd roll the dice and try it. The folders were empty. No files inside FWIW.
