Auto zoom doesn’t work

I tried to follow a route on my bike this morning, but it is really hard. I have auto zoom enabled but the map isn’t zooming in before a junction. I tried manual zooming in, but if I leave zoom, the map returns to it’s zoomed out state.

It does not work in running activity either... By the way, how do you zoom the map manually when navigating a course? Enable the touchscreen?

To zoom and pan during activity, you can long-press left middle button and select pan & zoom, then switch between panning and zooming using start button and zoom/pan using left middle & bottom.

Or on latest firmware (18.22 & 18.23) you can select "map only" in activity's touch options (and also zoom by double tapping).

This should of been one of the first bugs fixed for a watch that markets itself on a large screen with maps. Impossible to navigate while running. So many update and betas with less fundamental feates yet this has still not been fixed

Garmin-Sierra: when this will be fixed? Navigation during activity in the most premium watch for runners is useless....

Has anyone else had this issue fixed? I needed it today and it failed me.

neas2598 I reported it several times at garmin. There are more people experiencing this problem, for quite some time now.

But Garmin-Sierra keeps demanding a video showing the bug. Looks like I'm not believed. Or the job of garmin support is to reject as many bug reports as possible.
