Gaps in HRV data during night

During the last night's this is what my HRV readings look like.

The data is getting inconsistent because of this. Is anyone familiar with this problem and might know of a solution?

  • If that happens again, take a look if the LEDs are weaker/dimmer then usual before restarting... I got one occasion where HRV peaked, and then my LEDs was very weak

  • I began experiencing this issue just a few nights ago. Yes, you may reach me via email and, yes, you may review my Connect account.

  • Reboot helps for me. I'm thinking to reboot every time after recharging the battery. Routine maybe keeps troubles away. I'm still in beta 19.09.

  • .  just to confirm on this: last day I ran a marathon and obviously my HRV was super low compared to baseline last night. This was also the first night in weeks where the reading was without any gaps, so it definitely has to do with a certain range in which the readings are!

  • Hi Sierra and all users, so after my original 965 completely died, fortunately within the 12 month of original purchase, Garmin replaced it and I have had the new 965 since 22 April 24. In this time I have had 5 nights out of 23 of uninterrupted HRV graphs. Currently on version 18.27. I believe it was my update to version 18.22 on the original watch was when I started getting these issues. I find it extremely difficult to comprehend that a watch as expensive as the 965 is having these issues. After my original watch had no issues with HRV graphs for the first 10 months of use and the new one is immediately noticeable that confirms to me that this is a software issue and not a "how tight you wear the watch at night". Sierra, surely Garmin has a fix for this as I know people with the Epic who do not have this issue at all and my understanding is that this is the same sensor.

  • My hrv data has gaps in it for over three months and the reset did not resolve.
