I really like the Training Readiness score! It provide a comprehensive compounded image of your body state. Well... almost.
Why? I discovered it in the last weeks as I was in my next marathon preparation. It's pretty crazy these days at work and most of the time, I get back home completely drained mentally and physically... and my training readiness is in the upper zone!
So why is is? Pretty simple in fact.
Currently, the one parameter that would factor this state of feeling drained out is HRV. But the problem is that it only gets evaluated during the preceding night which then does not account for the cumulative fatigue of the day, which makes it growingly irrelevant as the day progresses.
Garmin is not ready to have the HRV periodically refreshed during the day? No problem::body battery! But it's not currently in the list of parameters that forms the training readiness. Thus this post: Garmin should add the body battery as another parameter to determine the training readiness!
