Brightness very low on screen when outside

Is anyone having issues seeing the screen when outside especially during an activity? I ran yesterday when it was cloudy and the data screens were barely visible. Everything seems fine inside and screen is bright but when go outside it seems to get dimmer and is hardly visible.

I just received a message that the replacement unit has been shipped. I will keep you posted whether it has the same issue..

I got my 965 yesterday and did my first run with it today. I did not notice this , other than the fact that (as I noted with the 265 I tried) the gesture is ,in my view, not sensitive enough to my taste…

If your screen is that dim even when you do the wrist gesture or tap the screen or press a button, it's definitely a problem. I'm wondering if it's really a software glitch, or if there's something wrong with the ambient light sensor (the fact that Garmin is ready to exchange the watch suggests that they think it could be the latter).

Sometimes after charging my watch I have also the problem with the dark screen. When this happens I switch the off using the function switch off. After 5 seconds I turn the watch on and the problem is gone.
