Watch replaced under warranty. Should I keep SW 15.19 or risk updating to 17.26?

So the question - any 955 users here that are happy with 17.26 SW update? Or maybe even more specifically - has anyone perhaps got a watch replacement, 15.19 SW and have updated to the current SW versions successfully without HR sensor going toast and without getting back to the annoying SW update loop?

I have been on 17.26 since it came out and have had no problems using it.

Last Friday I received a new 955 Solar from Garmin Spain technical service, when I connected it to the computer it was updated to version 17.26, it works perfectly.
