Tonight I had weird HR readings during a run. Can I check somewhere of my watch and HRM-strap were paired or not? Check during the run, or afterwards I do not care. But now I do not have a clue. It is the HRM Dual.

Into the activity mode you can press the middle button to go to Settings > Sensors & Accessories and the watch show you the list of all your sensors and which one is "Connected".
Also from…
It may be worthwhile un-pairing and re-pairing the HRM as a precautionary step.
So I did a minute ago. See if that helps. Of the 13 runs so far this year, 7 runs did not register the strap. An unacceptable amount, so worth trying to solve the issue.
Yes it should be there. No big problem for me it is not today.
Interesting is that I am wearing HRM almost every single day and have it visible in all activities. Here is Last synced 23/09/16 - half year ago ;-)
The same here:
Last time I have seen battery in GCWeb was on Jan 16th
As said. I do not mind missing that status. I am replacing battery every 150h of use.
Yes, I do. There is a short info before starting the activity that it is connected with external hrm strap. Also it works without having the watch on the wrist (eg on bike). Overall it's not a problem, but to have an overview about battery would be a comfort function :-)
Yes it is strange.
Could you do one last test, please?
Go to Menu -> Health & Wellness -> Wrist Heart Rate -> Status -> Off
Then connect HRM strap
In Menu Sensors you should see it is connected.
Then standard Run activity. Save it. Be sure you see HR while running.
If you will have HR readings those will have to be from strap. Then if missing detail about connected device would be minor error. But if you will not have HR data than problem is larger.
