I have tried to add a weather location and it rarely is able to find a result. I've tried airport 3 or 4 letter codes. Even tried New York and New York City did not appear? Not critical but strange. Advice?

Out of curiosity: are you more than 1500-2000Km away from New York?
I was finally able to find locations near me to take as reference, maybe this thread can help you:

Try searching for a nearby airport if it is at a close distance from your location. Don't type all the letters of the name, try a few letters of its main public name and wait for the results.
