Migrate all settings and apps from one 955 to another?

Can I Back up My Information and Settings on My Garmin Device?

I tried this, copying over my. Fit files, but it doesn't seem to have done much. I still have the default watch face, the default apps, and the default app settings. It does look like my foot pod is already added as an accessory, so that's something.

You can copy the activity settings which does the data screens etc

You mean the fit files in the Sports folder? I did that, but the data screens still seem to be defaults and I had to reinstall / reconfigure Garmin Connect activities (like Stryd) manually.

The sport settings . Not the .fit files 

cooy the actual sport from the old device backup you made to the new one . I think the folder is sports .

My Sports folder just has a bunch of .fit files, one for each sport in it. Is there a different location for sports settings?

This seems to be more trouble than it's worth. I would just start from scratch with the new watch. Could have had it done by now. 

Agreed that on 2023, when entire phones, tablets, and laptops migrate your setup seamlessly from your previous device, we should expect better from Garmin.
