FW 13.22 - Bug list - Is it safe to upgrade now or?

Hi :-)

So I can't find a thread with a bug list for the 13.22.

I don't know if that is something they usually do or not, but I'm a bit confused about whether it's safe or not.....good idea or not?

  • The only thing I have noticed after upgrade to 13.22 is that I did not got my morning report. But after switching watch on,off and toggled morning report on,off in Garmin Connect it seems to work ok for now.

  • Mine has been fine no issues at all. 

  • I just use it for runs and walks, with and without external sensors. I've had no problems with 13.22 so far.

    It's usually advisable to sync with phone, then power off/power on after an upgrade.

  • I always update my watch connecting it with my Mac via Garmin Express and I never had any problems with my watch (I run 5-6 times/week and Strenght 2x/week). I already used Bike Inddor once with no problem and Walk at a Park for 1 hour and use the Back to start feature with no issue

  • I've not done any activities yet as I'm on a holiday.

    So far so good on 13.22.

  • After the upgrade to 13.22, the touch screen will fail once a day (cannot be touched), recovers immediately after restart the watch.

  • Mine does not fail, Touch screen has worked as expected since upgrading to 13.22. I restarted the watch right after upgrading but that is the only time. I got the 13.22 software the first day it was available.

  • I don't know if I'm unlucky, I've never had any major problems with my Garmins before, but 13.22 basically turned my 955 into a $450 stepcounter as soon as I connect an accessory. 

    When using accessories like Runpod och HRM-Pro the watch fails at HR, training load, recovery time, intensive minutes among others. Did a 5k run today without accessories and it worked out ok (zone 3, 30 intensive minutes, stamina showing plausible decent, 20 hours recovery). The same run yesterday came out as an zone 4 and 5 with highest HR at 230bpm but I got no loss of stamina, no training load or intensity minutes and 0 hours recovery. Problem is I need the metrics for running to identify if my chronic back problems is being kept in check, and I need the HRM-Pro to be able to see that I don't push to hard during weighted intervals and repetitive lifting sessions where I use heart rate as deciding factors. As is well known, optic HR at the wrist is pretty useless when tossing around weights or riding bike. 

    Yes I have reset and restarted the watch, removed and repaired the accessories. No difference.

    Haven't tried navigating since the update, but the touchscreen becoming erratic and after some time stop working is also an experience I've gotten since the update.

  • My watch is essentially useless now that I’ve gotten the 13.22 update. Data error messages, updates multiple times throughout the day, HR and other monitoring functions are intermittent, touch screen doesn’t work anymore, etc.
