Battery drain continues on 12.27, how about 13.15?

Hi guys,

sometimes on firmware 12.27 battery drains when I go to activity (not start it) and back to watchface. Same when I go to check/change activity settings. I usually notice quick 2-3% drop and then I turn off the watch.

Yesterday I added that CIQ battery screen/field from GC to track battery drain (during activity on GC) on the phone to some of my activities (run, walk, hike, bike & MTB), synced watch to a phone. After that mandatory phone connection off, airplane mode on and lock the buttons.

Went to bed with 50%, woke up now with 28%. Did not turn it off or restart. Usually, with Quatro watchface, I loose 5% a day with every sync off, SpO2 off and without any activity.

Is that behaviour still present on fw 13.15 for some of you?

I wouldn't say that. Try to reset a watch and use watchface that doesn't use seconds. I have Quatro watchface and there are only values that change once in a minute I think (solar intensity, steps, calories). 15% a day with 50-60 minutes GPS activity seems fine to me.

I just unplugged the watch from the charger (usually USB 2.0 port on a PC) and remembered that I haven't mentioned that everytime the watch is unplugged, it changes the watchface. Previously it was changing from current to the last installed, after I deleted that one it changed to the one I created...which BTW cannot be deleted, for the own WF only offers to Apply on the watch. I think it cannot be deleted from the app either.

It is also a bit silly that you cannot see current time while it is charging, only charge percentage.

I have haven't had battery drain like op's on any firmware. I'm on 13.15 now. I'm using 955 non-solar, backlight 8s, no pulse ox, gps only, bt + wifi on, default garmin watchface with seconds.

Charged at 11.30pm last night on 13.15 firmware and at 99% 12 hours later. Have o2 sensor on at night. Last few updates have seem to sort battery issue out as my battery will last 6-10 days. Hour of activities a day at moment recording walks.

Do you have WiFi on or music stored as that occassionly does updates at night.

We have at least 1 confirmed rapid battery drain. For those of you who have not responded to my last comment requesting access to contact you, if you could please do so, this may result in us finding the root cause to this disruption.

Brand new 955 (bought it Feb 10th, sitting at my desk from 100% to 95% in 2 hours. Already updated to SW 14.15. What should I do?
