Ran a mile in track mode. The distance was spot on but the GPS track is all over the place - just like in regular run mode. Anyone else having this trouble? Advice? Thanks.

All,
We have released a fix in the latest (non-beta) software release that should resolve the report for most users experiencing these symptoms. The software release should continue rolling out to all…
Sorry but it's not true that gps is inaccurate on a track. I had the 945 before and after calibration the gps was uniformly spot on track. Now with 955 i also discovered last weekend that indeed the gps…

Sorry, try now. Thanks!
Thank you arkrunner. I see that the distance seems pretty accurate, but the GPS track is not as smooth as it traditionally should be using that activity profile, according to Tips for GPS Accuracy On Track Runs.
Please check your Data Recording setting on the watch:
Menu > System > Data Recording > Frequency > What do you have selected here?
I saw that my RunningTrack folder is empty too. Here the calibration run https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9575987061. And after that a second track run https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9575987168. It is weird that i ran on lane 1 and continue, after i changed the lane on watch running, on lane 5, which is perfectly spot on contrary to lane 1 run.
I am using Smart Recording and give the unit time to GPS "soak" before starting. I am using the GPS ALL, Multi-Band. My GPS tracks are much better in regular run mode(?!). When in track mode it always takes 2 laps to auto-lock and doesn't seem to remember the track despite the 1st run being saved. The weird thing is that even when the track mode GPS track is way off the distance is usually (not always) correct. For my mile runs I was running 10 meters beyond the finish line for an actual 1610 meter (1 mile). Shorter intervals were 400m and 800m actual laps.

Thanks for looking into this. It seems something is not right with the software...
My watch is only 2 weeks old so I've only been on 12.23. I sent a reply with several work-out links but got a msg it was flagged as spam and needed to be "cleared"? Let me know if it didn't go through and I'll try again.
Hi, I am having a similar issue (although not as bad). I ALWAYS start w/ at least 1700m warm-up and NEVER change lanes (although I usually try to run 50% on each direction as the track is usually empty!).
Garmin-Kevin (and all) feel free to see some activities below:

All the above I was on lane 1. Had no issues with the 945...
No I don't have a track run activity from 11.12 cause I have the watch for 2 weeks and updated to 12.23 just right from the first configuration.
