Custom maps still don't work. The new map is visible in the general settings, but in the activity settings, after pressing configure map, the watch freezes.I upload the map via basecamp. The watch itself…
Eh. I am ashamed to admit it. The maps in the form of an img file started working (although not all) after I changed the file name. The default name gmapsupp was invisible to the watch.
However, this does…

GPS not working correctly at the beginning of the race.
Updated to version 12.2. This morning I did a running workout. At the beginning of the race, the clock showed a completely unrealistic pace - under 2:30. I ran at a pace of 5:40. Then after 4 minutes everything was back to normal. Unfortunately, I wouldn't pay attention to it, but the pace and pulse watch builds the Trining Effect. It showed incorrect data - VO2max training, although it was a Base training. In the settings there was always a multi-range GPS.
12% drain for an hour half walk half run with hrm and music running. Told me I had set a new record 5km which confused me as I knew my record was 2 minutes better than what I got today, so it looks like it wipes your records on firmware upgrade. Also vo2 has dropped by one point. All in all don't see any other issues.
Works for me<tm> with HRM-Tri. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9436169161
Did you use HRM? Or watch itself? Have you pressed power button for 15s continuously after the upgrade? (It usually fixes some weird problems after SW update).
I have a simple chest strap HRM which I've used for 18 months both with this watch and my previous one. It's not by Garmin and only does heart rate.
I have just done a full reboot (15 seconds press on the Light button) and will see how well it records tomorrow's run.
