Bad gps track

Hi,

I have some problems with the gps accurancy. My runs are 15% further with the 955. Before I had the 945, which was great. It loses gps signal as well. In the forest i have no signal at all. I tried every gps setting and data to every second.

Does somebody have the same issue? Is it something with the hardware or can I wait for an update?

I've seen a few reports of this.

I'd suggest maybe connecting your watch to a computer with the USB cable and syncing using Garmin Express. I'm not sure if this will solve your issue, but it might update maps and the EPO. It's worth a go before opening a case with Garmin.

I received a new one a few weeks ago. No problems at all. Even after the firmware update, the gps is perfect right now.

Did you send it back and they give you a new one or you bought a new one and it is working… let me know

Have the same issue with the GPS accuracy. Already finished a half marathon and GPS showed 18.99km. Friend of mine using forerunner 945 had 21,2km.

So I believe you are not from Russia ?

Does deleting the gps files on the watch fix ?

I still remember the GPS issue for Sony chip last year I think. 1 fix is to delete the GPS files and download new.

I was referring to the above issue.

I remember deleting the CPE file on the remotesw folder of my 945. The watch will download a new file upon syncing with GPS.

For 955, I am not sure if it can work. And i have not checked the folders of 955 yet.
