Lactate threshold autodetection

My 955 is set to auto-detect lactate threshold, yet it is still saying my manual entry that I put in on my 935 over a year ago. I've only had the watch about 2 weeks but I've done plenty of runs including a 5k pace. I'd have thought that it'd have updated in that time?

Do you run with a chest strap? Lactate threshold detection does not work with the built-in optical sensor.

Ok, then another thing is that not every run will yield a lactate threshold. Several conditions have to be met, like for example the run must include sufficiently long sections of increasing pace. I'm not familiar with the technical details, so not sure if a 5k pace run is good or not. You can try the LTHR guided test, if you want an instant lactate threshold.
