Firmware Update 11.12

Did anyone else start having issues with HR from their HRM Pro after updating? I've only been on 11.12 for two days, but I tried using the chest strap twice and the reported heart rate was way too low and didn't ramp up with increased intensity.

Could be a coincidence not related to the update, but the timing is suspicious. The battery was replaced earlier this year and still reads as OK.

EDIT: Turns out the timing was coincidental. The HRM module no longer sealed out moisture and has now died completely. The o-ring was seated properly, but looks like it has a slight defect where it's thinner in one area.

my standard HRM (garmin, can't recall the actual model, but no running dynamics) was fine today.

overall, i think the touch interface is improved in 11.12, but one thing i'm seeing is it takes a more deliberate swipe up or down to bring up glances. i think it need to retrain my finger strokes because i regularly (for the past 24 hours) sometimes swipe and it just blinks and returns to the watch face.

i'm guessing in the long run, this is a better expected behavior: ie, no inadvertent swipes by brushing ones wrist, etc.

do people agree and have the same observation?

Exactly the same for me. It needs a more deliberate swipe, over a larger percentage of the face of the watch.

I am not sure if it takes a more deliberate swipe up or down to bring up glances, I got the watch recently and spent only few days with previous firmware. But I consider it as a safety feature to prevent unwanted swipe detections and I don't mind that. 

But overall, the touch behavior is definitely much better in 11.12, especially in map panning.

Regarding the missing crosshair in Map and no "Go" function after long press on Start, I think they had removed it intentionally from 11.12, because this feature was still buggy and they wanted to disable it totally instead of leaving it there with its crappy functioning. :( Hopefully they will fix this soon, it is very annoying.

Well it has been +24 days since that update was made available and I cannot install it on my FR 955!
The watch shows a notification "install version 11.12", then reboots, then "software version successfully updated to 9.15".  Garmin Express shows my watch as "up to date".
I'm getting frustrated and I cannot install apps or use features properly. 
Is it the case for everyone is there something wrong with my watch ?

No. Haven't seen anyone else tell that. I would recommend contacting Garmin.

As usual, factory reset first before contacting Garmin.

Well I called the customer service at Garmin France, the guy on the email told me he understood the situation, said he will send a link by email. The link went just to the Garmin website explaining to me how to install Garmin Express
I reached out through Instragram and Twitter, still no response..
