Anyone have this available?
I think most people here think the same: Garmin should deliver what they promise, but what they deliver is buggy all over.
Don´t feed the 7413611-Troll :-)
He´s just living in his own world and can…
Maybe it is still too buggy to distribute..
And let’s be honest who look at a map when running?
I look at the map when I run ultramarathon in the mountains, like many other runners ;-)
Meanwhile the 5th day after launching the 11.12 firmware update and STILL nailed to only 20%
Thank you for nothing, Garmin!!
They probably noticed something that prevents the distribution. This watch has huge amount of bugs. Even basic things are broken.
Yet they still sell this thing for top price.
It looks like I replaced the rebooting brick (945, twice) with a newer brick (955 Solar), and they don't know how to fix it. Thanks Garmin.
I honestly don’t understand what peoples are complaining about. Except for battery drain, my watch is working flawlessly.
-All training/firstbeat metric work with no exception.
-All running/cycling/swimming activities work flawlessly as well.
What is wrong with you guy?
Read the forum, you will find out. Maybe you are lucky? I can't use the backlight because the watch is restarting. and it drains the batteries all the time. is it Ok for you in a premium watch?
Maybe they work for you, they don't work for all.
My acute load is stuck, training status doesn't seem to work properly, swimrun's OW swims are hugely shorter than real distances, OW swims are also shorter than the GPX Garmin itself records, not so huge difference, but really weird still.
Those at least annoy me currently.
Ps. My battery drain is just normal, don't know what battery drain issue you are referring to? ;)
For me it's workable as well, but doesn't mean I'm satisfied with the current state or that it's fine for everyone...
Issues I have:
1. Can't select a location on the map for navigation... No deal breaker currently, but sucks when abroad or in certain situations
2. Heartrate zones are buggy, can only use the main default zone and no sport specific.
3. Battery drain, workaround available but far from ideal
4. Crappy touch implementation, workable but sucks
5. Issues with saving (changes to) lists. Renaming a saved location works iffy, workaround is possible but again crappyq
And if it's "just this" but knowing Garmin is taking it seriously and working on it would be one thing...
But the only thing we have or know of almost 1.5 months after release is a half baked firmware with some minor changes which almost a week later is still only rolled out for 20%?!
Then others have reported many reboots (connected to display brightness settings?), power sensor recording issues and who knows what more.
This is for a premium product costing 550-650 dollars/euros, and Garmin is giving its users the finger currently. I've had a few people asking me if I'd recommend the FR955, and currently it's a no. Garmin needs to get their sh*t straight with this one.
