I think most people here think the same: Garmin should deliver what they promise, but what they deliver is buggy all over.

I don't think there is an ambient light sensor. You touch almost the entire display with the palm of your hand and the TSC detects that and switches back to the watch face.

SOmeone suggested it might be possible with the solar ring... Covering it and having a quick decrease in solar intensity (to 0) could trigger it. Anyway, all guessing of course.

After 3 days Garmin remains at 20% rollout! This is so sloooow... and this update doesn't contain any real progress in respect of all the annoying bugs I encountered and that are listed here.

In seven days the return window for my FR955 closes.

Quality is, if the customer comes back. Not the product.

it does seem remarkably slow based on my past experiences. the 945LTE rollout of 6.04 at 2 days is already at 50%

Didn't stop them from releasing the 955 itself...

But I was actually thinking, the reboot-with-backlight-something issue might be a reason for them to have released this firmware already and sooner then planned. Explaining the lack of fixes and improvements?

That's what I hope at least.

In the meantime I'm keeping an eye on a possibility to order the fenix 7 solar sapphire for 600-650 (sold out atm) and am seriously contemplating biting the bullet IF it becomes available again. Then again, always been going for the forerunner line for a reason, but with current sw support that might actaully change.Damnit garmin

11.12 major bug!!!

I've updated to 11.12 yesterday and today I've done 2 bike rides. Only one synced with the connect app and the other one appears on the watch under Last Activity glance but if I open it says "Data for this activity could not be loaded" and obviously I can't sync the activity neither with connect or explore app
