Firmware Update 11.12

Didn't you have some other format maps or do I mix up users? But the phrasing you were using implies to me that it would be broken for all, which it isn't. 

Bad for you if it doesn't work for you and I feel you, I have mine own problems with the watch, but they seem to work for some.

No, these are the same maps i am using for years (etrex,epix,forerunner 945) because those provided from garmin are garbage at my area. There is no explanation why they cant work with new FR955 only because flawed firmware. 

So i am waiting for 11.12. I hope i wont have to format everything and start from scratch again.

a lot of users has them, but i dont know any with FR955. Maybe you can check them on yours for me? 

I have already reported to garmin those flaws. 

If those maps have something that makes my watch goes bonkers, I don't think I want to try them and I'm pretty happy with the maps that I have from https://kartat.hylly.org and National Land Survey of Finland.

Yeah that's kind of the thing, I don't want to risk installing those if they might screw up my watch...  But that makes it hard to verify

It's available globally to 10% users. We just need to wait.

No it really isn't. Configuring all the data screens like I want is a multi hour thing :( One could apparently manually take some backup and restore them, but urf.

I really hope that as we would get some backup and restore settings (including datascreens) feature.

I mean it is 30 minutes to check it on plain new FR955. If i had second. I know how chore is to set everything up again. I wrote that i have done it four times already :)
