I just got my new 955, set it up and charged to 100%. I have not been doing any activities, it's just sitting on my desk. Still, within an hour of being fully charged it is already down to 93%. At this rate it won't survive overnight. Any ideas?

All,
We believe that we have a fix for this report that will be rolling out with the next software release for this device. While I do not have a timetable for this release, I will be updating this thread…
All,
We have released a fix in the latest production (non-beta) software release that should resolve the report for most users experiencing these symptoms. The software release should continue rolling…
Try restarting the device. That seems to fix some of the battery draining issues.
The beta is released yesterday, sign up for the program and install it... one of the main battery issues seems to be fixed in there.
same, I use the glance watch face and battery life has been more or less according to spec. A few nights ago though I had an unusual 18% drain overnight in about 5 hours. It was fine afterwards, but I honestly don't think I did anything different compared to other nights.
Thanks Sir, this is a good news, because I bought my 955 last week, and I my battery is lasting 2 days big max....
Like many people I was/am really thinking to return it, missing my old broken Garmin too much....
I am gravely disappointed by the battery performance of my recently purchased 955 non-solar. Despite I activated the battery saver mode, the battery lasts 2-3 days tops. I am yet to install the new firmware update hoping it solves the issue but in the list of updates, I did not see a specific line saying that the update addresses the battery drain issue.
I fully charged my watch two days ago, used it in the battery saver mode, did a short run (3 KMs) with music, then the next day the battery is down to 18% capacity. So the battery is lasting 3 days tops.- backlight is at 5%, pulse oximeter is off, wi-fi is off what else can I do to boost the battery performance and prevent the drain????
When will Garmin tech team address this issue?
This is strange, that many of you are experiencing further issues.. I am pretty satisfied with the battery after installing 12.20 beta. There are some new issues (most noticeable is crashing the CIQ data field during the activity, when the activity is paused with Resume later option), but the battery drain is gone.
The overnight drop is around 2% (pulse ox off, wifi off, but phone connection on, wrist heart rate on).
Now I am on 60% since full charge 4 days ago, with 5 hours of non-GPS activities and 3 hours of GPS activities.
CO, are you already on fw 12.20, which solves the battery drain issue? Have you tried to reboot the watch (holding LIGHT for more than 15s) after the update (this is the question for 8803696)?
