Vibrations during workouts, customize alerts - only on lap change, not everything else

Hi everyone,

I have a Forerunner 945 and I want to customize the alerts during my workouts. I only want vibrations, no sounds, and I’ve managed that part — but now I’m getting too many vibrations.

During an interval workout (for example 8x40s @ step frequency 170–180, with 20s recovery), the watch vibrates too much, and I keep needing to raise my wrist to check what’s happening.

What I want:

  • A vibration only when an interval starts or ends

  • Or when a workout step changes (like moving into the cooldown or finishes the workout)

What I don’t want:

  • vibration if my step frequency is too low, or pace is too high, or puls is something

  • vibration when GPS is acquired or lost

  • vibration when I press the lap button, or any button

Does anyone know exactly which settings I need to change to get this setup? I think I’ve tried everything, but maybe I missed something!

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

The vibration alert during workouts is set by default in our watches to alert you when something important is happening during your workouts to make you know what is happening. The vibration being on for the watch does not have any customization to it. I do apologize.
