Virtual Partner on 945 Series not showing time ahead or behind

Hello, on my 945 I used the VP a few weeks ago, it workd fine.. but only once !!.. Since then it's stuck at TIME 0:00 .. I did reset watch to factory defaults, did re-set the VP Pace time, did clear all historics.

Is there any other you may suggest to re-set it ?

  • This happened to me too. But after a while the virtual partner started working. I have notes that on workouts the virtual Partner resets when a new set begins. 

  • Ah OK Thanks for this.  I hope this will self resolve, but so far no success, and Garmin support has not responded either.. My Virtual partner works OK if I "race a previous activity - Jog".. but as soon as I use the VP in regular Jogging mode, it's stuck to TIME AHEAD 000.  Have a great day  -  Daniel

  • Ah great, many thanks Kevin, Please note that today I noticed that the same problem (stuck on TIME AHEAD 000) is also on the BIKE activuty.. I tried very many things, full reset, race an other activity then try again the stand alone, , no success.  I am attempting to let the watch completely discharge to see if any progress,.  But I'd be happy if you could help me - I do some "pace rabbit" runs and I really need the Virtual Partner !!

    Note also, i am up to date with software version

  • Hello .  Because the fenix 6 series runs a different software version than the FR 945, your experience will need to be reported in the fenix 6 series app.  Please see link below for quick access to make that post:

    We have confirmed that this is not present when running the 11.04 beta software.  See the link below for instructions to install or you can wait until the next production software is released.
