Map Update Fails - Africa v2022.0

Halfway point means that it downloaded the map from internet but failed to copy it to watch.

So just retry, or free up space on the watch or something. Probably some more tricks you can try could be found from old posts by searching the forums.

Space not an issue, device less than a week old and I haven't loaded much to date.

Most of the previous posts were resolved by Garmin Express updates.

There was one were the person moved the downloaded file(s) onto the device (and deleted device files). But this method was not successful for too many people and I would not want to mess around with system files so early into my 945 journey :)

It could be an issue with free disk space on your PC as well...

Did you ever happen to get this fixed? I bought a 945 yesterday and it won't let me update the map

Are you living in Africa or bought it there and living somewhere else and installed Topo card of you living country.

Mine have topo america and i installed topo europo on it. the updates of America don't work for me anymore

Hi. Did you manage to resolve? Happened to me too. Same map. Now the maps on my 945 have very little detail and aren't routable. Also in SA.

It's actually really poor from Garmin. And then their support make you think you going mad because they imply the problem is your side. I'm not sure why they can't one drive the file and you can then copy and paste it in your device folder
