Feedback Thread - Forerunner 945 Beta software version 8.09

So I thought I'd start this thread with feedfback on the new beta just released... I just installed it myself so can't comment yet, but did write down the version changes for now:

Updated:

Software 8.02 -> 8.09
GPS 5.30 -> 5.40
CIQ 3.2.6 -> 3.2.8
BMX 4.0.3 -> 5.0.4
WHR 4.00.03 -> 5.00.04
HUB 9.01 -> 14.05

Unchanged:

WIFI 2.60
ANT 6.11

    What's the point in multiplying "sports" like GravelBike, MountainBike, CommuteBike and so on... ? In the next FW, will we have "BlueWithGreenStripesBike" or "Tricycle" ?

    The point is that some people like to be able to browse through their activities in the all activities list.  THere are selections to view by distance or average HR etc, based on type of activity.... "what is the hardest gravel ride i've done and what was it's normalized power.... now how does that compare to my indoor cycling" vs Road... vs MTB etc.  

    Or maybe "how much trail running did I do vs running in the leadup to a trail ultra"  without that distinction you can't sort or view those individual sub categories.   Or have reports of total time per month/week that show that data separate, not just "other" or "winter".  For someone that races MTB, it might be very important to distinguish between their MTB vs Road hours of training, this gives an easy method to do it.  Also eventually maybe like strava there will be a 'exclude commute' option from reports... who knows.

    as in "who knows / sorta confused / no one knows "   or .... " 'who knows' what Garmin has planned for future use of the new Commute Cycle tag".   figure of speech I guess.  lol   why the quote, doesn't really add to topic... I guess neither does this response... hmm Thinking

    I have installed the beta since it was released and it works rocksolid on my watch. Are you running a Garmin stock watchface or a downloaded one?

    All stock faces, no external apps. Not even a music app… + Garmin HRM Pro. Emailed beta support, no replies…

    The "bike commute" activity does not reflect in Garmin Connect web or app, it looks just like normal cycling. I guess they need to be updated as well?
