Zwift rides and load

Zwift, Rouvy etc will only count towards training load etc if recorded and uploaded from the watch, not if sent from Zwift, Rouvy etc. Any third party recording uploaded toGarmin Connect will not count...unless things have changed.

I have Rouvy send my data to Strava directly while the data recorded on the watch syncs to Garmin Connect. That way it counts.

Interesting as DCRainmaker has been saying that it doesn't need to be recorded on the watch as of June.

It has been working for me. It will upload to Garmin from Zwift, then it sends it to the watch, then back to GC, then the training load updates. So it takes a couple minutes.

As for suggestions, the only one would be, do you see the Garmin icon highlighted when you click save ride at the end of a workout? That's how you know it should be sending to Garmin. You can also check in GC that it's connected from the Garmin side, under your profile.

Yep...did that. The workout shows up in my App, but doesn't count for my load. That's my confusion. It doesn't send to my watch though....what would I be missing?

Sync twice. Once to get it from GC onto the watch, and again to get it the integrated statistics back onto GC.

I have the same set-up, except I have a Kickr Snap, and I run Zwift through the companion app or my phone, and the load shows up on the connect app. As others have noted, sometimes there is a lag before the load data adds to the total - even though it shows up on the bar chart. 

I don’t see why it would matter, but if you’re connecting directly through ATV, maybe try the companion app or your phone. 

I just looked more closely at my Zwift rides. On the page for individual rides, I don’t have a section on “training effect.”  But the type (base, tempo, etc) and load show up on the “exercise load” bar chart.  And the load is eventually added to the “7-day load” line graph and the “training status” total — but there is a lag. 

Mrose did two rides lsat night and nothing on my watch....GC shows the ride but nothing added to Load. How are you running Zwift through the Companion App? Any link with instructions?
