Battery drain after 6.20 update

My forerunner 945 was autoupdated overnight and since them am observing very high battery drain.

In about a 5 hour period (without any activities) it has drained from 88% to 24%.

Is anyone else experiencing any problems since receiving this update in particular?

That doesn't definitely tell that, if you would update it to 6.20 and it would still do it, then you might have strong case that you are doing something that causes battery drain.

Actually... I was too optimisitc. At first (first 2-3 hours) battery went down by 0,3-0,5 % / hour , however now its again running around 1-2%/ hour :(

I will try hard reset in the evening and see if that…

I contacted Garmin about mine last week and they asked me to do hard reset and also to plug into computer to try and force any further updates in case it Garmin had patched the software if indeed it was…

This happens a lot after an update, just make a reboot. Then the problem should be solved.

Seems like reboot (not hard) did the trick.

It’s definitely slowed down after restart (battery drain) seem like it’s working !

I'm interested in exactly why a reboot fixes this issue, since the problem of increased battery drain immediately after an update - whether actual, or just reported on the meter - has been around for some time. Is it a bug?

I have same problem. Before 6.20, it was consuming 0.4-0.5 per hour. After updating, it is consuming 0.7-0.8 per hour. Doing the same, same setting everything same before.
It is a little weird that after load at 100%, without any activity my battery down to 87-90% in a 3-4 hours, after that the batttery down slowly but quicker than before updating to 6.20

Hello, I'm using the F945 first 2 weeks only. It has updated to 6.20 during first day. Now battery lifes is around 5 days with 2-3 hours of GPS and 3 hours of ANT+ connection, average drain is 0,7% per hour. Is it OK for the watch?

Same for me. After the 6. 20 update my battery is draining so much quicker. Have garmin come back to anyone one with a resolution or explanation? Rebooting hasn't changed anything for me. Thanks Luke
