Forerunner 945 treadmill run with Tacx trainer left on = no pace and distance

Hi,

I just completed a treadmill run with my Forerunner 945. While running I noticed that I got no pace and distance information but still got GCT, vertical oscillation, etc.

I noticed that my Tacx bike trainer was on and the watch was waiting input from it: when turning the bike's wheel the watch's distance field increased. When I disconnected the trainer (in sensor menu) it all went back to normal.

Any idea why the watch would be getting input from the trainer for a treadmill run activity?

Thanks!

  • Possibly. That's exactly what happens with mine.

  • I hope this will be fixed soon. For me it's not major but still annoying.

I had the same issue with my Runn sensor and the Runn Incline data field: the Tacx trainer was pairing with the data field so I was not getting incline feedback. When I realized this I did shut down the Tacx trainer and the data field reconnected to the Runn sensor.

  • I do wish they would implement some sort of sensor assignment. For example connect to lights when activity = cycling ..

ATM I have to manually disconnect my lights when I'm on the treadmill as the watch connects to them

  • Wow! Thanks sp much for this. I disconnected my Wahoo Kickr Core from the list of sensors and my pace started recording again. Was super frustrating!

  • Finally, ... Also be careful when opening  any activity profile on your watch while standing nearby anyone who is Zwifting. Chances are that the watch takes over the trainer control and ruines your wife's Zwift session. Please introduce a PER WORKOUT SENSOR profile.
