Delete Training Status

Hi!
My fr945 tells me that my training status is overtrained and because of this my VOMax is going down. I always make high intensity trainings and I know that what the watch tells me is not correct. Do you know if there is a way to delete/reset the training status to be ablento start from zero?

  • Ok.... then don't use the feature or the watch.  "most users" also don't really understand training physiology or methods, so there is that.

    Most users?  Can support this with evidence, or are you assuming this based on your own lack of understanding of the training physiology or methods?

  • When you do use a power meter for cycling and also run, you get the double whammy of the VO2Max being measured separately for each activity. If it trends down on either, you go unproductive.

    I use a Wahoo Kickr indoor trainer with Zwift and have been doing a reasonable amount of zone 2 power training using ERG mode (basically, the trainer holds a set wattage rather than responding to virtual elevation changes). When I first started this, my training status dropped for a few weeks until I worked out what was going on. Now I just complete a free ride every 10-14 days which allows Garmin to record my cycling VO2Max. This keeps my training status productive when coupled with the occasional run and strength training.

  • That may very well be the case, but I don't use a power meter while cycling.  My post may have been a little confusing.  I  mentioned the power meter while cycling as one of the ways I could get a VO2Max calculation, but I don't own or use one myself. I appreciate the response though. My only means of a VO2Max calculation comes from running, but due to the winter weather in my area and the fact I leave and return from work in the dark now, that will be coming to an end very soon and I will join the ranks of the "unproductive" and eventually those with "no status". :)
