I had to reset the unit after updating to 5.3. Now it won't pair with my phone. 

Simply restart the watch, even a few times and it got sorted

Is that a 400m track you are running on? If so try the track run functionality. 

This was an 8KM run, 20 laps.

In every sw update there's people complaining about battery issues. This time, it's me. lol

It never happened to me before, but the watch updated overnight as expected (the battery went from almost 70% to 15%). I realized that when I was already out for an activity. The watch died in the middle of it and when I got home I charged it to 100%, and it dropped to 85% in half an hour. 

So I left it plugged in overnight so it could do its thing. It's almost 9 am now. I have already done a 1 hour swimming activity today and it's 98%. Pretty good so far. 

Siempre que se actualiza algo en dispositivo, es aconsejable hacer un reinicio manualmente del mismo. En ocasiones ese consumo de batería anormal es debido a que algún proceso se queda activo en segundo plano. Con un reinicio todo suele volver a tener un orden
