Software Version 5.30 - Forerunner 945 - Live

Update can be downloaded through Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile pending rollout.

Changes made from 5.20 to 5.30

  • Resolved an intermittent issue which could result in the delayed sending of an assistance request message.

    Same here, 5.20 was fine but with 5.30 battery drains amazingly fast

    Jaybird Vista earbuds disconnect after some minutes from the FR945 with firmware 5.30. It never happened before

    I have the Jaybird Vista too. 

    Works normally at 5.30. 

    But I didn't try during an activity. Only test because I read complaints like yours.

    They disconnect even if I just listen to a podcast and if I am not in a activiry. With the other firmware, once connected, it never happened that it disconnected. I have also the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earubuds, and with these earbuds I don't have any problem. Only with the Jaybird Vistas. On the other hand, the Vistas connect just fine as always with my phone.

    Same problem here with Jaybird Vista. Never had any problems before upgrading to 5.30

    sorry, this is still pice of sh**. Tooday i have a run:

    You definitely need rollback your code, to old one. Because in past it work more adequate.

    Using Special Running Profile for ONLY 400m track with every run calibration - this is no way, this is BIG crutch

    I know this is for software version 5.30, but I was unable to post to the 5.20 thread.  My question is, has anything changed for the recording of daily active and exercise calories.  I am seeing lower calories burnt everyday now.  It looks like the reduction in calories burned started with the release of 5.20 which appears to have been released on 10/21.  The first day I saw the lower calories was during my workout and cardio sessions on 10/23.  Since that day calories burned for exercise and daily activity have been lower than what was previously being recorded.

    1. Since the update to Ver. 5.30 I have the following problems:
       my watch shows me almost permanently that my training is "unproductive" - although I train much less, take longer breaks etc. But after each training session the VO2Max continues to drop. Within a few days from 68 to 61... That can't be true.

    2. the battery consumption has increased significantly. Despite multiple restarts of the watch after the update.

    Does anyone have similar observations - especially to 1.

    Yes, same for me. Has been "Unproductive" despite training as usual/harder. And vo2max has dropped. Thought I might be getting sick or something like that, but maybe not.
