  • At low altitude, the widget maintains a reduced scale, but it is enough to be at 1000 meters to have a scale of 2000 even with small changes in altitude. Before, the ladder self-adjusted. It is now similar to that of the oxygenation widget, but there it doesn't matter if the scale is large

  • Mine isn't at zero.

Interesting. Federico's is from 0 and in that chart, it doesn't feel the smart place to start as we can see the MIN and MAX values, which are 1781 and 2768. I think MIN would be 1780 and MAX should be 2770 for the graph, much more better use of the small space.

I checked quickly my yesterdays run from GCW and it was from zero. Maybe too small sample as today my walk starts from -100 in GCW even there's is no elevation under 0. As it was another point where there is elevation maps.

But I think still that the scaling calculation should be more close to MIN-MAX value to maximally show the elevation changes. This is taken now. I think the scale should be more like 10-70. Can't remember how it was when I commented that.

  • The problems I encountered are only in the altimeter widget. In the summary of the activity the scale is ok. But I don't understand why they have worsened the widget scale after version 5.0. I don't understand why. Now I am at 1000 meters and the scale is 0 - 2000: Garmin, why?

I have no idea why mine is different.  Just woke up and this is what my watch displays.

  • Update made my watch completely unusable. Went out for a normal run saw the notice that it’d been updated and then GPS was WAY out splits had me running 12 second 1kms. Stopped and reset the watch... still the same, had me running the opposite direction on the GPS. Performed a hard reset and removed the Garmin connect app from my phone. Reinstalled it reset the watch. Now I can’t pair the watch back with my phone, connect it to Garmin connect and the battery seems to be going down at a much faster rate... help!

  • Even in your case the scale is not suitable for the change in altitude. A difference of 16 meters for a total of 400 (from 300 to 700)

  • Improved optical heart rate performance.

    Finally!!!

I tested this today and was really surprised that this finally works (almost) as it should.

Thanks. It took one watch change with no improvement and 9 months to finally get it working.

  • I think it appears to be unsuitable just for my 4hr window as I had no movement.  This graph is while I was asleep.  The 444 feet was a slight drift from the actual elevation of 460 when I went to bed.  I have "calibrate not during activity" set to on and I've noticed around 3AM I get my calibration; the immediate jump to 460' you see in my photo.  If I were actually moving, I would have the up and down spikes that jmto has in their photo which is satisfactory for me.  I was posting my photo just to show that my graph doesn't start at zero as yours and jmto's shows even though the two of you have very different elevation readings.

  • Improved optical heart rate performance.

  • What issues were you facing before that are now working for you?
