Beta and PR : is it possible to keep them ?

Hello,

I like to tests new firmware and if I loose my old PR it's not a big deal.

Is there a way to keep them when installing beta firmware ?

Just go to Garmin Connect and send your PRs to your watch.

The personal records could be a bit tricky to find in the app.

Open menu->Activities. Click steps, running, cycling or swimming. There you can click "View personal records".

There is no send…

You will not lose your PRs by installing the SW.

I did and I always loosed my PR with every beta.

Seems odd. That has never been my experience loading beta SW on any of my Garmin devices (Instinct, Edge 830, FR945). I always have retained my records on the device. Sorry I can't offer any better information.

That's not a big concern, I found it just a little annoying to have new PR alert...

If you downgrade the beta to back to the stable version, then you need to do reset, but otherwise it's just like normal upgrade.

I found in Personal Records everything that I have to "Accept", well not everything but dated back from a few beta upgrades back.

Thanks you very much, I didn't know that one have to Accept PR (in one case it was good because of a "needed" change in swimming style the watch thought my PR for 100m was 40s (it was only 50m...)).

There's a "Send to device" button in the "Personal Records" section in Garmin Connect.
