Forerunner 945 recording massive spike in speed.

Since updating last week each session I have will include either a single or two instances during my workout where my speed is recorded at a ridiculous level (circa 365,000km/hr.) Has anyone else had this problem? I tried deleting and reinstalling the watch to garmin connect but that didn't fix the issue.

I've had quite a few spikes in SUP activities as well, over the last couple of months. (These are actually outrigger canoeing activities, but recorded as SUP on the watch). GPS seems fine in all cases…

Same thing started for me 3 days ago. Today as well. Makes tracking any pace changes useless. I haven't done anything to the watch to cause this that I'm aware of.

You've got me beat. Today I only hit 126271 kp/h. Guess I need to keep training to catch you. Haha.. Wonder if there will be any update as this pretty much kills the Garmin for me. I have an old Polar 430 that I may have to go back to.

4 speed spikes totally without reason...

The question is, why the garmin watch handle different with the same setting. I have no idea, what the problem is. I tried to paddle with the running activity and there wasn't the problem. I will contact garmin germany on monday.

I will check that out, I'm getting more convinced its due to the activity (Kayaking ect...), I've checked and I only get this issue with that activity (not running or cycling).

yesterday again a huge spike without cause.
I´m switching on "running" profile and then change afterwards in GC

Somebody’s suggested GPS 4.40 might be a fix.

I think so based on Fenix's Change Log it is, but we are only supposedly getting some mystic factory test.

I called the hotline and they told me to open a ticket on the website. Pls do it, too. If there are more people with the same problem, probably the problem get fixed earlier.

Have you loaded the GPS update? I accept the change log is a bit strange but as noted it’s possibly sorted out the issue with spikes in SUP and kayaking.
