Forerunner 945 USB (GARMIN) no longer appears as a device on Mac

Forerunner 945 USB (GARMIN) no longer appears as a device on Mac. I have restored the watch to factory settings but both of my Macs do not see the watch as a device. Although, Garmin Express on the Mac can connect to the watch using USB. Any help is greatly appreciated.
