Indoor rock climbing

Hi.

Has anybody tried to get the new indoor rock climbing activity from fenix 6 to work on a 945?

Yes, I have tried doing that already but in the list of activities there are only normal "climb" (shows a hiker), ski, snowboard etc, floor climb, virtual run (!?) etc, but no rock climbing. HMMM. How do I get it?? I'm sure I have the latest beta software!!

  • I updated my 945 to 5.20 today and it has indoor climbing mode in it. Tried it today and it seems to work reasonably well. I'm only a beginner climber but looks useful. It records each climb automatically and when you descend it recognises you've finished. You're asked for number of falls and whether to count it as completed or attempted. Before each climb you can change the level for the next climb.

  • I really wish there was a way to disable the auto-detect feature.  I constantly have to "discard" false starts while belaying or even just walking around during the "rest" mode.  Its very distracting and ruins tracking data.

  • There won't be an option for rock climbing, the title of the activity type being discussed in this thread is climb indoor. It should be among the last 2-3 activities on the list, an orange climber on a wall, or there is a bouldering profile in the same region.
