Hi everybody,
I use a Forerunner 945 for running and other sports. As you probably all know, Garmin has 5 heart rate zones defined in its devices or Garmin Connect.
The last days I conducted a performance test on a treadmill with the measurement of my lactate values. As a result I get 4 personal training zones which are
Regeneration / long endurance run
Basic endurance 1 / middle endurance run
Basic endurance 2 / fast run
Top/development / extensive run
I think those are the most common zones as an outcome of lactate measurement.
Now I’m trying to put these values into the Garmin Zones. I know you can define own zones even per sports.
But as you can see my measurement puts out 4 zones, while Garmin has 5 zones. Has anyone transferred his zones into the Garmin device? I’m not sure which zone is which. In the internet there are very rare information about this.
Unfortunately, there is no statement from Garmin. I think the 4 zones mentioned above are the most common ones.
(Btw. If a put my max. Heart rate into the Garmin app, the heart rate zones are not the same as they are in my test result).
So again in short: Do you know which Garmin zones are mapped with the zones from the test. I.e. Garmin zone 1 = Regeneration, Garmin Zone 2 = Basic endurance 1, …
Thank you in advance.
Greetings,
plate
